Yvonne Turner McCotter

   Yvonne Fannie Turner McCotter, 81, of 1772 Belvidere Road, Belvidere, NC, passed away Friday, December 31, 2021 in Sentara Albemarle Medical Center, Elizabeth City.

   Mrs. McCotter was born in Perquimans County on April 16, 1940, and was the daughter of the late Rudy Lee Turner and Lillie Mae Smith Turner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Austin McCotter, and by brothers, Gaston, Ted, Kenneth, and Preston Earl Turner. Retired from the former Elizabeth City Cotton Mill, she was a member of Belvidere-Ryland Church of Christ.

   Surviving is her son, Tony Ray McCotter of Belvidere; two sisters, Hazel Layden of Belvidere and Annette Powell of Gatesville; two brothers, Jimmy and Roger Turner, both of Belvidere; and three grandchildren, Cody, Tyler, and Brittany.

   A memorial service will be held Sunday, August 21, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. in Belvidere-Ryland Church of Christ, 307 Ryland Road, Tyner.
