Worth was a lifelong farmer, outdoorsman, father, son, brother, and friend leaving behind a legacy deeply rooted in family, faith, hard work, and the land he loved.

From the time he was 13 years old, farming was a part of who he was. He took great pride in the land and in carrying forward his family's legacy. He was the owner of Perdue Somerton Creek Poultry, and additionally he worked with Miller Farms. Worth loved Gates County and the people who called it home. He was the person you called when something needed fixing, and he was always willing to lend a hand. He was a tireless mechanic and was always looking for the next project.

Outside of farming, famıly, and friends, Worth was happiest outdoors. He found great peace in nature, hunting and fishing were passions for Worth, especially bear hunting. Worth was a member of the Hideout Hunt Club, the Gates County Sporting Dog Association, and he was previously a member of the Gates Volunteer Fire Department.

Worth loved to cook, especially when it came to barbecue and he enjoyed nothing more than gathering people together.

Above all else, Worth was a devoted husband and a proud father. He adored them all and took immense pride in watching them grow. One of his greatest joys was supporting the next generation, including getting his tractor ready for the FFA parade and being there to cheer them on.
