Willie Arthur Hardee, Jr.

   Willie Arthur Hardee, Jr., 67, of 232 Ainsley Road, Hertford, NC, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2023 in Sentara Albemarle Medical Center, Elizabeth City.

   Mr. Hardee was born in Pitt County on March 30, 1956, and was the son of the late Willie Arthur, Sr. and Helen Ruth Collins Hardee. An engineer, he retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard following 34 years of employment, and later worked with Q.E.D. Systems in Virginia Beach, VA for 13 years.

   A memorial service will be held Friday, November 3, at 11:00 a.m. in the Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Chapel, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation at the residence immediately following the service.
