Vernon Franklin Lee

Vernon Franklin Lee (Frankie), 89, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2026 at Three Rivers Health & Rehab surrounded by his family.

Vernon was born on November 4, 1936 in Bertie County, NC and was the son of the late Vernon Haste Lee and Ellen Earl Speller Lee.

Along with his parents he was preceded in by his wife, Janie Louise Leggett Lee; brother, Eugene (Bubba) Lee; and sister, Annette Stokes.

Vernon is survived by his daughters, Vicky Lee Hoggard (Mike), Ellen Lee Bunch (Ben), and Janet Lee Copeland (Tom), all of Merry Hill; six grandchildren, Michelle (Rodney), Stephanie (Brian), Lee (Laney), Wilson, Hank (Katlynn), and Catie; and eight great grandchildren, Sarah, McKinley, Rosanna, Reid, Elijah, Taylor, Hunter, and Carson, and several nieces and nephews, and Phillip Waters.

Per Vernon’s request, no funeral services will be held.
