Thomas Nelson McGlauhon, Jr.

Thomas Nelson McGlauhon, Jr., 74, of Eure, NC passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 29, 2026.

A native of Norfolk, VA, Thomas was the husband of 52 years to Sandra Carr “Sandy” McGlauhon and the son of Thomas Nelson McGlauhon, Sr. and Frances Heck McGlauhon, both deceased. Thomas absolutely loved his Diet Mountain Dews and was known for keeping dozens of cases available at all times. He enjoyed landscaping, planting and tending to his flowers, working in his garden, and mowing the grass. Thomas loved his family dearly and spending time with his beloved dog, Pitt-Pitt.

Survivors include his wife, Sandy; daughter, Carrie McGlauhon; and granddaughter, Peanut McGlauhon.

The family will celebrate Thomas’ life privately at a later date.
