Susan Lynn Parrish Perry

Susan Lynn Parrish Perry, 50, of Edenton, NC peacefully passed away surrounded by family after a brief illness on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. 

The first of five children, Susan was born in Edenton on September 18, 1975, to C.Y. Parrish III and the late Brenda Sue Timme Parrish. 

In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Michael Thomas Perry; siblings, Mary Joe Parrish (George Cosentino), Bess M. Parrish Creswell (Michael Creswell), Kimberly Parrish Mauser (John Mauser), and Carey Yates Parrish IV (Rosanna Parrish), eleven nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly, Wyatt Yates Bland, Tori Sue Bland, Adrianna Parrish, Georgiasue Riverlynn Parrish, William Tucker Mauser, Bella Cotton Parrish, Ellis Walker Creswell, Lucas Zane Mauser, Eden Grey Creswell, Charlotte Bay Parrish, and Carey Yates Parrish V, along with three great nieces and nephew, Kade Schuyler, Laurene Bland, and Hatteras Bland, her grandmother, Mary Julia Parrish, and many more cherished family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 8, at 11:00 a.m. in the Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Chapel, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton NC. A burial will follow immediately afterwards in Beaver Hill Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, April 7, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home, and all other times at the home of her father, C.Y. Parrish III, 351 Poplar Neck Rd.
