Sidney Wallace White, Jr.

Sidney Wallace White, Jr., 86 of Edenton, NC died Tuesday, November 4, 2025. He was a son of the late Sidney Wallace White, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Jordan White. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Carla White Dahbi; son, Stanley Wallace White, Sr. and wife Chellie; his brother, Jimmy White; and his sisters, Judy Hollowell and Jane Twiford.

Sidney was a life long member of Edenton Baptist Church. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a true family man. He was a mentor to so many by coaching recreational baseball. Sidney loved all sports and could answer any questions that you would ask him. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and just being outdoors. During his working years he worked at Weyerhaeuser, was a farmer, plumber, and rural mail carrier.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife of nearly 65 years, Norma Blanchard White; daughter, Sandra Beck (Robbie Boykin) of Georgetown, SC; grandson, Stanley Wallace White Jr. (Mikayla Williams) of San Antonio, TX; and brother, Jerry White (Freda) of Chester, VA.

A celebration of Sidney's life will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, November 9, 2025 at Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home, Edenton.  Burial will follow at Beaver Hill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 to 3:00 pm prior to the service.
