Shannon Marie Drake

   Shannon Marie Drake, 48, of 8412 Larrymore Avenue, Norfolk, VA, and a former resident of the Paradise Road community of Edenton, NC, died Friday, November 17, 2023 in her home.

   Shannon was born in Los Angeles, CA on December 8, 1974. A 1993 graduate of Camden High School, while living in Edenton she worked as a Veterinarian’s Assistant with Drs. Ruston Howell and Christian Ford at the Chowan Animal Hospital and attended Yeopim Baptist Church.

   Surviving is her husband, Daniel James “Danny” Baumgartner; his daughter, Cora Flinn Baumgartner; her parents, Lewis Evan Drake of New Jersey and Lanna Atkinson Kail of Edenton; and her brother, Lewis Drake, also of Edenton.

   A memorial gathering for family and friends is being planned and those arrangements will be updated to his obituary when finalized.
