Seth Craig Mabry Williams

Seth Craig Mabry Williams, 38, died Sunday, October 13, 2024, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, VA.

Seth was born in Chowan County on November 30, 1985. He attended John A. Holmes High School and completed his GED. He had been employed in construction work, in the restaurant industry and in lawn care and landscaping work. He was raised in the fellowship of both Edenton Baptist Church and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. Gary Stanley, Chaplain at Chowan Hospital, is serving the family during this time.

Throughout his childhood, Seth was an active participant in recreation and school athletics including soccer, baseball and basketball. He lettered in baseball during his high school years and developed into an excellent golfer while participating in a youth golf league.

Always a loving child, he expressed this with his friends and the many animals that shared his life. His Mom and Dad love “Dogs in Heaven” by David Gregg. Seth is walking the twelve dogs his family loved for the last 38 years of his life on earth, now in his eternal home with Jesus.

As an organ donor, LifeNet worked to coordinate this process to fulfill his request. The song played on his final journey was “Heroes” by David Bowie, a favorite of both Kirstin and Seth.

Surviving are his parents, John Michael “Mike” Williams and Jane Madison Mabry of Edenton; his brothers, Madison Williams of Edenton and US Army Master Sergeant Joel Williams, stationed at Fort Liberty in Fayetteville; his twin nephews, Joel’s sons, Marik and Braxton Williams; His partner Kirstin Hepburn of Elizabeth City; and many friends and extended family members.

Seth was preceded in death by his grandparents, Madison and Eloise Mabry and Charles and Jeanne Williams, and adopted grandparents, Mayor Roy Harrell and Syble Harrell.

In accordance with Seths’ wishes, private services are planned. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to AWARE (Animal Welfare of the Albemarle Region Everyday) PO Box 203, Hertford, NC 27944 or to The Chowan Edenton Optimist Club, PO Box 1096, Edenton, NC 27932
