Sarah Hucks Pillow

   Sarah Lou Hucks Pillow, 84, of Myrtle Beach, SC and formerly of Tyner and Edenton, NC, died on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 in Angel Oak Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Myrtle Beach.

   Mrs. Pillow was born in Horry County, SC on December 15, 1938 and was the daughter of the late Jonathan David and Annie Elizabeth McCormick Hucks. In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, The Reverend Henry Davis Pillow; and by her sister, Betty Brock.

   A graduate of Holmes Theological Seminary, now Holmes Bible College in Greenville, SC, it was there as a student that she met her future husband. They were married for 53 years, and she as a homemaker and pastor’s wife worked with him as he pastored churches and as they served the Lord.

   Surviving are two foster daughters, Paula F. Riner of Gordonsville, VA and Doris F. Butler of Ruckersville, VA; two sisters, Florence Rhodes of Conway, SC and Elizabeth Willhite of Myrtle Beach; three brothers, David Hucks, Phil Hucks (Lillian), and Wesley Hucks (Lib), all of Myrtle Beach; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

   Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 27th, at 11:00 a.m. in Happy Home Pentecostal Holiness Church and will be conducted by the Revs. Walter Byrum and David Baker. A private burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may visit with the family in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service.
