Ronald Earl Davenport, Sr.

   Ronald Earl Davenport, Sr., 72, of 176 East Inlet Circle, Hertford, NC, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2019, in his home.

   Mr. Davenport was born in Norfolk, VA on October 8, 1946, and was the son of the late William Dewey and Ethel Lee Briley Davenport. A retired electrician, he was a member of Bethlehem Church of Christ.

   Surviving are his wife of 17 years, Brenda Comstock Davenport; two sons, Ron and Mike Davenport; a grandson, Jacob Davenport; and two sisters, Geraldine Davenport and Barbara Basnight.

   A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in Bethlehem Church of Christ. Friends may join the family in the church social hall immediately following the service.
