Patsy Pierce Blanchard, 92, of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 2, 2026.

Mrs. Blanchard was born on March 15, 1934 in Creswell, NC and was raised in Hobbsville, NC. Patsy was the wife of 65 years to the late Elliott Jackson “Jack” Blanchard and the daughter of Arnold Hugh Pierce and Hettie Eason Pierce, both deceased. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Mark Randall Blanchard.

Survivors include her sons, David Randall Blanchard of Raleigh, NC and Paul Randall Blanchard and wife, Allison of High Point, NC; and three grandchildren, Alex, Molly, and Margaux. Also surviving is her son Mark’s widow, Marjorie Lynn Blanchard Ferrier and her children, Athena and Sierra, of Virginia Beach; and a special and caring niece, Marinda Crocker of Gatesville, NC.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2026 at the Hobbsville Baptist Church Cemetery, 405 Hobbsville Road, Hobbsville, NC with the Rev. Dr. Wayne Proctor officiating. She will rest on the grounds of the church in which she and Jack accepted their Lord as Savior, and where they were married. They are home.

The family will greet friends from 12:00 am to 1:00 p.m. on Friday at Hobbsville Baptist Church. Also, friends may visit with the family in the fellowship hall of the church immediately following the service on Friday.
