Patrick Lewis Connors, Sr.

   Patrick Lewis “Pat” Connors, Sr., 67, of 119 Johnson Street, Jarvisburg, NC, died Thursday, July 14, 2022 in his home.

   Pat was born in Macon County, Illinois on March 1, 1955, and was the son of the late Joseph Michael Connors, Sr. and Mary Theresa Kennedy Connors. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Castilow; and by a brother, Joseph M. “Joe” Connors, Jr.

   A retired long distance driver for Martin Transport he traveled to every state in the continental United States except Maine, often accompanied by his wife. In earlier years, he was a professional wrestler and worked under the name of Pat Anderson, of the famed Anderson family of wrestlers. He tag teamed with C.W. Anderson and together they won tag team titles in nine different wrestling promotions, including the NWA World Tag Team Title. Pat had served in the United States Marine Corps.

   Surviving is his wife, companion and best friend of 32 years, Joyce Miller Connors, their son, Patrick Lewis “P.J.” Connors, Jr. (Shelbey) of Jarvisburg; and three sisters, Linda Harris and Debbie Worden, both of Haleyville, AL, and René Harsini of San Pedro, CA. Also surviving are Joyce’s sons, Randy Garrett (Tina) of Lawton, OK and Steve Garrett (Dalene) of Colonial Heights, VA; and her seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

   In accordance with his wishes, no service or visitation is planned.
