Patricia Lassiter "Tricia" Owens

Patricia Lassiter “Tricia” Owens, 78, of Sandusky, OH passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 26, 2026.

Born in Chowan County, NC on December 13, 1947, Tricia was the wife of the late Jesse Merle Owens and the daughter of Herman Lassiter and Selma Basnight Lassiter, both deceased.

Survivors include her two daughters, Heather Owens Hoover and husband, Jason of Bellevue, OH, and Heidi Owens of Sandusky, OH; eight grandchildren, Joey, Ashley, Bobby, Atticus, Mackenzie, Jessie, Baylie, and Mackenna; four great grandchildren, Noah, Alexis, Kaidence, and Rowan; sister, Gloria Byrum and husband, Billy; special friend, Wanda Holloman; and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

In addition to her husband and parents, Tricia was preceded in death by her daughter, Melodie Owens Clements and two infant daughters, Michelle and Angela.

The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at the Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home, Edenton, NC.
