Pamela Anne Poe Center

Pamela Anne Center, 64, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 28, 2025.

Pamela was born in Columbia, SC on October 14, 1960 and grew up in Hampton, VA, then moving to Gates County where she resided with her husband of 26 years, Patrick Center. She was a member of Hobbsville Baptist Church, where she loved volunteering in the kitchen and helping with Vacation Bible School. She had a passion for farm life and her love for her horses was unmeasurable. Pamela enjoyed making homemade bread, candles and soaps and would give them all as gifts. Pamela and Patrick were the epitome of true love.

In addition to her parents, James Richard Poe and Shirley Birchmore Poe, Pamela was preceded in death by her two children, Nikki (8) and Jimmy (6), as well as many other loved ones.

Survivors include her husband, Patrick N. Center; their children, Erin Belleville (AJ), Patrick Kyle Center (Kayla), Bradley Center (Erin Harrison), and Karlyn Nicola Center (Seth Smith); ten grandchildren; two sisters, Wanda Poe of Hobbsville, NC, and Donna Harris of Greenville, NC; and her nieces and nephews, Tiphanie Sloan (Kevin), Brittany Chatt (Ryan), McKenzie Foxworth, Anthony Foxworth, and Lauren Isbell.

A memorial service celebrating Pamela’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Hobbsville Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Dannelly officiating.
