Nina Lane, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 92. She lived a long, full life marked by love, honesty, and unmistakable style.
Nina was the kind of woman who cared deeply for those she loved, and she showed it in her own special way; always genuine, always direct. She was a sweet soul with a sharp tongue, never afraid to speak her mind. If you needed the truth, Nina was the one to give it to you; whether you were ready or not.
She took pride in always looking her best. Her outfits were perfectly matched, her hair was done just right, and her perfume always let you know she had entered the room. Looking good wasn't just a habit; it was her signature.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Matthew Lane, and her son, Jimmy Lane.
Nina is survived by her loving son, Larry Lane (Mildred), and her cherished grandchildren: Tammy Trueblood (Orlan), Caren Lane (Derrick), Kim Lane (Stan), Michelle, Tracy Holmes (Donnell), Roy Melton (Sandra), and Kevin (Kristy). She also leaves behind ten great-grandchildren: Anthony Lane, Carson Trub, Peyton Trueblood, Brennon Trueblood, Matthew Lane, Chris Lane, James Felton, Cassidy Felton, Gracen Holmes, and Brycen Holmes, and two great-great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry forward her legacy of strength, style, and honesty.
Though she may no longer be with us in body, Nina’s vibrant spirit will live on in every memory, every story shared, and in the lives of all those who were lucky enough to know her.
A graveside service will be held on Friday at 3:00 PM at Happy Home Pentecostal Holiness Church, located at 534 Happy Home Road, Tyner, NC 27980.
