Nancy Carol Meiggs Miller

Nancy Meiggs Miller, 78, of Elizabeth City, NC, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 1, 2026.

Nancy was born on August 18, 1947, in Pasquotank, North Carolina, and she was the daughter of the late Martha “Lottie” Meiggs and Ralph A. Meiggs, Sr.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Ward “Bud” Miller; sister, Shirley M. Jones; and brother, Ralph Meiggs, Jr.

Nancy is survived by her son, Lee Morris and his wife Amy; grandson, James Robin Morris; niece, Kim Moore (Wesley); nephews, Michael Warner (Thelma), and Paul Warner, great nephew, Kevin Warner; great nieces, Kelly Newbern (Chris), Jessica Burgess (Noah), Tabitha Williams (Keith), Amber Warner, and Tiffany Hufton (Nick); along with several great-great nieces, a great nephew, and her dear friend Carolyn Scott.

Nancy loved peaceful walks on the beach, watching hummingbirds around her yard, and tending to her roses with care.
