Mary Frances Miller Spruill

Mary Frances Miller Spruill, 74, of Elizabeth City, NC passed away Thursday, November 11, 2025.

She was the daughter of the late Carol Miller and Carolyn Jackson Miller. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles (Charlie) Spruill.

Surviving is her son Jason Spruill (Brenna); sisters Patricia Faircloth and Mamie Miller; and grandchild Emma.

She was very passionate about her career in education, being a teacher in the Pasquotank County school district for thirty years. Along with teaching she loved to travel, especially to the beach, and her amazing granddaughter, Emma, who was the light of her life.

A celebration of Mary’s life will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, November 20, 2025 at Mount Hermon United Methodist Church in Elizabeth City.
