Mary Alice Bradshaw

Mary Alice Bradshaw passed into eternal life on June 7, 2025 in the presence of her loving family. She was born in Alamance County, North Carolina on January 9, 1930, the first child of Gilbert M. and Mattie Kirk Smith.

She is the widow of Charles W. Bradshaw who passed on August 29, 2019. She is predeceased by her parents; daughter, Carolyn Bradshaw Taylor; and brothers, Gilbert, Darwin and Melvin Smith.

Alice is survived by her daughter, Margaret Tipping (Russell); granddaughters, Terri Smith (Kendall) and Brenda Anderson (Aaron); grandsons, Charles Norrod (Candi) and William Norrod; sisters, Shirley Shambley (Morris), Annette Stone, and Jeannette Rowland; brothers, George and Gerald Smith; nine great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, George and Lois Pyles.

While living in the Villages, Florida, Alice and Charles enjoyed many activities, especially square dancing.

Alice enjoyed her two cats and reading and puzzle books and time with her four generation family.

A special thanks to all of the team members at Amedisys Hospice, Sandy Woodley and Shernae Jones who cared for her.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Oak Grove Baptist Church, 16126 NC-32, Roper, NC. Friends are invited to visit with the family immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.
