Lucas Blair Savage

   Lucas Blair Savage, 44, of 1640 Great Fork Road, Suffolk, VA, died Saturday, March 4, 2023 in Sentara Obici Hospital.

   Lucas was born in Franklin, Virginia on January 31, 1979 and was the son of Walter Thomas “Tommy” Savage, Jr. of Suffolk and the late June Collier Savage.

   A member of Great Fork Baptist Church, he had been a member of the Whaleyville Ruritan Club and had made the long-term investment in Ruritan National by becoming a part of the “Ruritan Forever” program.

   In addition to his father, he is survived by his sister, Bethany S. Riddick (husband, Emory) of Corapeake; and many friends, neighbors, and extended family members.

   Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 9^th, at 2:00 p.m. in Great Fork Baptist Church and will be conducted by his pastor, The Rev. Matt Parron. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, NC, and all other times at the residence.
