Lois Bunch Bryant

   Lois Bunch Bryant, 94, of 544 Chambers Ferry Road, Edenton, NC, died Monday, June 26, 2023 in ECU Health Chowan Hospital, Edenton.

   Mrs. Bryant was born in Chowan County on March 26, 1929 and was the daughter of the late Horace E. and Stella Riddick Bunch. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Maynard Bryant; by her daughter, Carol Ann Bryant; by a sister, Lorene Hare; and by her brother, Ronald Bunch.

   Mrs. Bryant had worked as clerk or manager in various department stores through the years, beginning with Malone’s Variety Wholesalers in Edenton, and lastly working at Rose’s in Hertford. She was a member of Rocky Hock Baptist Church.

   Surviving is her daughter, Janice Bryant of Edenton; a sister, Charlotte Bunch; and several cousins and extended family members from both the Bunch and Riddick families.

   Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 29th, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, and will be conducted by her pastor, The Rev. Matt Dupuy. A private burial will follow in Beaver Hill Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family in the funeral home immediately following the service.
