Linda Gayle Perry Weeks, a cherished member of the Elizabeth City, NC community, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 6th, 2026, at the age of 78. Linda was born on July 23rd, 1948, in Elizabeth City, NC, and was the daughter of the late Redmond Ray Perry jr. and Frances Bundy Perry.

Linda was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She is survived by her sons, Perry McPherson and his wife Kathy, and Andy McPherson. She was also a beloved sister to Bill Perry, Jeff Perry and his wife Nancy, and sister-in-law to Jeanette. Linda's legacy continues through her treasured grandchildren, Hinton McDonald, Kaley McPherson, and Collen McDonald, as well as her many nieces and nephews who each held a special place in her heart.

She was preceded in death by those she dearly missed: her father, Redmond Ray Perry Jr., her mother, Frances Perry, her previous husband, C.H McPherson, her husband, Clyde Orintha Weeks, her daughter Melissa McDonald, and her brother Ray Perry III.

Linda enjoyed tending to her garden, sewing, cooking, baking treats, and, above all, spending quality time with her family. She was a woman of great warmth and generosity, known for her boundless love and the joy she found in the simple pleasures that life offered.

A graveside service to honor Linda's life will be held on Tuesday, November 10th, 2026, at 11:00 am. at New Hollywood Cemetery, 1101 Peartree Rd., Elizabeth City, NC 27909.
