Linda Brinkley Dennis

   Linda Lee Brinkley Dennis, 80, of Gates, NC, passed away peacefully in her sleep and went home to her reward in heaven on Friday, June 2, 2023. Praise be to Jesus.

   A native of Nansemond County, VA where Mrs. Dennis spent many years of her life, she was born on December 17, 1942 and was the daughter of the late Joseph Henry, III and Hazel Louvenia Bulls Brinkley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Richard Dennis.

   Surviving is her son, Robert Keith Powell of Gates; a sister, Kathy Brinkley Benton of Suffolk, VA; and other extended family members.

   A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in Cypress Chapel Christian Church Cemetery, 1891 Cypress Chapel Road, Suffolk, VA.
