Laura Eva Pope Holland

Laura Eva Pope Holland, 87, passed away April 2, 2026 in Greenville, NC.

Laura was born in Como, NC on August 25, 1938 and was the daughter of the late George Bennie Pope, Sr. and Laura Mae Whitley Worrell Pope.

Laura is preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Holland; brothers, Edward Worrell and George Bennie Pope, Jr.; sisters, Nellie Worrell Bryant, Ruth Culbertson, and Alice Mansfield.

Laura is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Buckhorn Baptist Church Cemetery 1243 Us Highway 258 N Como, NC, at 11:00 am on April 9, 2026 and will be officiated by David Crumpler.
