Larry Temple Swain

   Larry Temple Swain, 75, a longtime resident of Edenton, and more recently of Hertford, passed away Friday, November 25, 2022 in Hertford Manor.

   Mr. Swain was born in Washington County on April 15, 1947, and was the son of the late Linton Temple Swain and Linda Bridgeman Swain. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Faye Evans Swain, a son, Tracie Allen Swain, and by a brother, Archie Swain. He was a retired automotive mechanic.

   Surviving is his son, Larry K. Swain (Pam) of Hertford; a sister, Rose Abdulah of Hertford; a brother, Tony Swain of Raleigh; and three grandchildren, Brittany Lynn Swain (Hirsch), Lawrence Wilson (Shyanne), and Arnold Wilson.

   A gathering for family and friends will be held Thursday from 4 to 5 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton. A private burial will be held later on the family plot in Beaver Hill Cemetery.
