Larry Julian Pierce

   Larry Julian Pierce, 75, of 545 Wingfield Road, Tyner, NC, died Tuesday, April 18, 2023 in ECU Health Medical Center, Greenville.

   Mr. Pierce was born in Portsmouth, VA on May 23, 1947, and was the son of the late Robert Julian and Mildred Alice Rawls Pierce.

   A retired machinist with Lipton Tea in Suffolk, VA, in earlier years he worked as an automotive mechanic. He was a member of Faith Pentecostal Holiness Church.

   Surviving is his loving wife of over 55 years, Mary Best Pierce; a daughter, Sherri Pierce Acker (Rob) of Washington, NC; two sons, Mike Pierce (Diane) of Portsmouth and Larry James Pierce of Whitewater, Wisconsin; a sister, Anita Pierce of Atlantic Beach, FL; two brothers, Bobby Pierce (Susan) of Hendersonville, NC and Brian Pierce of Jacksonville, FL; ten grandchildren, Pamela, Tyler, Kyle, Kahne, Makenzie, and Kadence Pierce, Brittany Hall, Justin and Marissa Acker, and Isabella Hollowell; and two great-grandsons, Jackson and Jase Hall.

   Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 22nd, at 11:00 a.m. in Faith Pentecostal Holiness Church and will be conducted by Pastor Danny Gurganus. The burial will follow in Happy Home Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the residence.
