Greenville - Kimberly Jean "Kim" Baker, 61, passed peacefully on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at her home surrounded by family and friends. A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 27 at 2 pm at Ayden Christian Church. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.

Kim was a native of Edenton and lived the majority of her life in Greenville. After 32 years, she retired as a Respiratory Therapist from Vidant Medical Center in 2018. She loved yard work as that was her therapy, and her happy place was the beach. An avid sports fan, Kim truly loved the Wolfpack. She loved everyone and had a heart for helping others and was a faithful member of Ayden Christian Church, where she sang in the choir. She was preceded in death by her father, Gary Baker, and mother, Doris Jean Kern (Richard).

She is survived by her wife, Gaye Morgan; four-legged child, Chloe; many special aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and chosen family friends.
