Kim Joseph Lawlor

 Kim J. Lawlor, 68, of Hertford, NC, passed away suddenly on Saturday, February 1, 2025, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Virginia. 

 Born in Philadelphia, PA on February 4, 1956, Kim was the son of the late James Francis Lawlor, Sr. and Elizabeth Josephine (nee Spross) Lawlor. He worked at Heather Ridge apartments for over 20 years doing residential maintenance before retiring and moving to North Carolina.

 Kim was an avid bowler and especially enjoyed bowling with his two girls and his son-in-law. On September 21, 2005, he even bowled a perfect 300 game. In his free time, he loved going fishing and even if he didn’t catch anything, he was just as happy drowning worms. He also enjoyed spending time on the Outer Banks with his family and the love of his life, Kim Joan Lawlor.

 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kim Joan (nee Roselli) Lawlor, and his brother, James Francis Lawlor, Jr.

 Surviving are his two daughters, Deanna Lawlor of West Deptford, NJ and Donna Geary (Chris) of Grandy, NC; a stepdaughter, Erin Sweeny of Hertford, NC; a stepson, Ryan Sweeny (Carol) of Valdosta, GA; his two brothers, John Lawlor (Kathi) and Nick Lawlor (Linda); his sister, Margaret Petersen (Chris); seven grandchildren, Wyatt, Avery, Mia, Tyson, Olivia, Joslyn, and Harper; as well as all his loving nieces and nephews.

 A private gathering will be held by the family.
