Joyce Eure Ward

   Joyce Eure Ward, 86, of 1169 Acorn Hill Road, Hobbsville, NC, died Sunday, March 19, 2023.

   Mrs. Ward was born in Perquimans County on September 22, 1936, and was the daughter of the late John Benton “J.B.” and Evelyn Caddy Eure. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her favorite uncle, Herbert “Huddie” Eure.

   A homemaker, Mrs. Ward was a member of Sandy Cross Baptist Church.

   Surviving is her husband of nearly 68 years, Earl Ward; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

   A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 22^nd, at 1:00 p.m. in Sandy Cross Baptist Church Cemetery and will be conducted by Albemarle Hospice Chaplain Scott Taylor. Friends may visit with the family at the residence.

   The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to her caregivers, Nancy Dail and Brenda Sawyer, and to the staff of Albemarle Home Care & Hospice, for the care and comfort given to Mrs. Ward during her period of declining health.
