Joy Harris Nixon

   Joy Marie Harris Nixon, 43, of 305 Chowan Trail, Edenton, NC, died Sunday, March 20, 2022 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

   Joy was born in Norfolk, VA on January 25, 1979, and was the daughter of Teresa Marie Cox Gowan of Littleton, NC and the late Bruce Allan Harris. She was employed at the Edenton Food Lion as the Assistant Manager of Customer Service.

   In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Mark Wayne Nixon; three daughters, Kateline Marie Catalino of Norfolk, Dakota Joyce Wilson of Suffolk, and Zoey Leanne Howard of Chesapeake; three sons, Kayleb Arthur Wilson of Edenton, Bruce Allan Harris of Suffolk, and Ragnor-Mott Wayne Nixon of Edenton; and a sister, Patricia Sue Wright of Norfolk.

   Friends may join the family for a memorial service celebrating her life on Sunday, March 27^th, at 4:00 p.m. at the Chowan Beach Park.
