Johnny Ray Parker

Johnny Ray Parker, 47, of Hertford, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. Born January 15, 1978 in Pasquotank County, he was the son of Jack M. Parker and Geraldine Sawyer Stone. He was a private contractor and loved rooting for the Duke Blue Devils and Dallas Cowboys. Johnny also had an affinity for NASCAR and followed the races closely.

Besides his parents, he is survived by a daughter, Kara Lynn Parker and her boyfriend, Tamaniondre; three sons, Allyn Rosenberger and his fiancé, Samantha, Brett Parker, and Seth Parker and his girlfriend, Emily; two grandchildren, Russell Rosenberger and Madalynn Rosenberger; two sisters, Wendy Lowe and her husband, Buddy, and Jenny Boyce and her husband, Richie; and two brothers, Billy Parker and his girlfriend, Carrie and Jack Parker, Jr. and his wife, Kirby.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 17th at 11 am at Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford with Darryl Stallings officiating.
