Jimmy Wayne Hufton, Sr.

   Jimmy Wayne Hufton, Sr., 82, of Creek Road, Elizabeth City, NC, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2020 in his home.

   Mr. Hufton was born in Washington County on April 12, 1938, and was the son of the late James Andrew and Lona Dell Morris Hufton. A retired painting contractor, he was a member of Olivet Lakes Pentecostal Holiness Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, and by two brothers.

   Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Patricia Hollis Hufton; a son, Jimmy Hufton, Jr.; a sister; his canine companion, Daisy; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

   At his request, no services will be held. Miller & Van Essendelft, Funeral and Cremation Providers, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, is assisting the family with arrangements.
