Jerry Freeman Mansfield

   Jerry Freeman Mansfield, 66, of 2221 Center Hill Highway, Hertford, NC, died Tuesday, April 19, 2022 in his home.

   Mr. Mansfield was born in Chowan County on May 2, 1955, and was the son of the late Odus Columbus "Buddy" Mansfield and Edith Lane Mansfield. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Mansfield, and by a brother-in-law, Doug Pender.

   He was the owner and operator of Bear Swamp Trucking Company.

   Surviving is his son, Michael Mansfield (Ashley Dieffenbach) of Hertford; three sisters, Margaret Pender of Hertford, Frances Hammer (Stephen) of Belvidere, and Brenda Newbern (Bill) of Hertford; and four grandchildren, Kathryn and Sarah Mansfield and Aidan and Ariana Mummert.

   Friends may join the family for a gathering and time of visitation on Friday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall of Great Hope Baptist Church, and all other times at Brenda and Bill's home, 197 Great Hope Church Road, Hertford.
