Janis LaMonte Wynn

   Janis Marilyn LaMonte Wynn, 74, of 136 Burnt Mill Road, Edenton, NC, died Thursday, March 10, 2022 in Vidant Inpatient Hospice, Greenville.

   Mrs. Wynn was born in Manistique, Michigan on July 7, 1947, and was the daughter of the late Donald and Betty Jane Bradley LaMonte. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Markwell, and by two brothers, David and Steven Markwell.

   A residential home painter, she had also in earlier years contracted lawn care and cemetery maintenance for the Town of Edenton. She was a faithful member of Edenton Church of God.

   Surviving is her husband of 22 years, Joseph B. Wynn; two daughters, Hila Collier of Easley, SC and Angela Davenport of Shawboro; a son, Freddie Collier of Wake Forest; three sisters, Linda Cole, Mary Lou Kidd and Bonnie Hilliard, all of Michigan; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

   Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 15^th, at 2:00 p.m. in Edenton Church of God and will be conducted by her pastor, The Rev. Bill Braswell. The burial will follow in Beaver Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family in the church the hour prior to services.
