Janet Faye Stallings Crosland, age 80, passed away May 25, 2026 in Chowan County, NC.

Janet was born in Elizabeth City, NC on October 12, 1945 and was the daughter of the late Timothy Martin Stallings and Lula Marie Trueblood Stallings.

Janet is preceded in death by her children, Donna Faye Gaskin, Rita Dawn Layton, and Thomas Shannon White; brother, Lester Martin Stallings; and grandchildren, Joshua Alan Ray and Justin Bennie Lamb.

Janet is survived by her son, Timothy David Layton; sister, Karen Harris; grandchildren, Crystal Dawn Lamb, Dustin Layton, Alex Layton, and Thomas Joseph White; and many nieces and nephews.
