Irving Randolph Midgette

   Irving Randolph Midgette, 83, of 1450 NC Hwy 343 South, Shiloh, NC, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2022 in his home.

   Mr. Midgette was born in Camden County on October 24, 1938, and was the son of the late Alexander Anderson "A.A." Midgette, Jr. and Ruth Virginia Aydlett Midgette. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sons, Dale Williams, Wayne Williams, and Allen Midgette; sisters, Ruby Midgette and Evelyn Renfrow; and by brothers, Ralph, Horace, and Hubert Midgette.

   A retired electrician, he was member of IBEW Local 80 in Norfolk, VA. An Air Force veteran, he grew up in the fellowship of Camden United Methodist Church.

   Surviving are his four children, Bobby Williams (Pennie), Debbie Heath (Roy), Stacey Riggs (Mike), all of Shiloh, and Joey Williams (Renee) of Elizabeth City; a daughter-in-law, Donna Williams of Reno, NV; nine grandchildren, Nick, Chris, Phillip, and Colby Williams (Dallas), Roy Heath III (Jennifer), Carson Krainiak, Wesley Twiford (Trenton), Amanda Staples (Mike), and Josh Midgette; and four great-grandchildren, Allen Michael Staples, Hunter Staples, Josiah Williams, and Aliyah Heath.

   Graveside services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. in New Hollywood Cemetery, Elizabeth City, and will be conducted by Pastors Wayne Wood and Liliana Castillo Africano. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. in Wesley United Methodist Church, Old Trap, and other times at the residence.
