Henry Wilson Brabble, Jr.

 Henry Wilson Brabble, Jr., 89, of 108 River Drive, Hertford, NC, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2024 in his home.

 Mr. Brabble was born in Martin County on November 14, 1934, and was the son of the late Henry Wilson, Sr. and Emma Bullock Brabble. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Esther Timmie and Louise Hoppe, and by two brothers, James and John Brabble.

 Retired as a Millwright Superintendent with Tidewater Construction Company in Norfolk, VA, he was a member of Yeopim Baptist Church where he deeply loved his church family. Other enjoyments included his love of fishing and crabbing with his wife, Barbara, and the many trips spent together as they traveled in and out of the United States during their retirement years.

 Surviving is his wife who was truly the love of his life, Barbara Tyson Brabble; three sons, Henry W. Brabble, III of Chicago, IL, Mark Fred Brabble of Wilson, and David W. Brabble of Edenton; two daughters, Dorothy Parrish (Jerry) of Edenton and Donna Stearns of Greenville; three sisters, Linda Fleetwood of Alabama, Hope Williams of Edenton, and Sharon Hughes of Merry Hill; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

 A memorial service will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. in Yeopim Baptist Church and will be conducted by Pastor Karl Head. Friends may visit with the family in the social hall of the church immediately following the service, and other times at the residence.
