Helga Planthaber

Helga Planthaber, 70, of Roper, NC passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2025.

Helga was born in Kingston, New York on June 30, 1955, and was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lenz.

Helga is survived by her daughter, Helga Herman (John); son Edward Planthaber (Mary); grandchildren, Jameya Pollard (Corey), Jayquann Pollard (Keirstin), Joseph Herman, and Jenalynn “Forest” Herman; and great grandchildren, Myles Pollard, Gavin Pollard, and Lilah Pollard.

Helga enjoyed gardening, the ocean, and floating in the pool in her free time. Helga also enjoyed spending time with her grandbabies, to her they were the light of her life. Helga was very proud of the organization, Spreading Love & Kindness Foundation Inc., founded by her daughter. “Spreading Love and Kindness Foundation provides basic needs and essential resources for the residents and animals of Washington County and surrounding areas in NC. We will help by finding resources through Federal, State, and County resources, all community entities, and fundraising.”
