Gloria Fain Hollingsworth

   Gloria Jean Fain Hollingsworth, 84, of Paige Riddick Road, Gates, NC, died Thursday, January 12, 2023 in Chesapeake House Assisted Living, Chesapeake, VA.

   Mrs. Hollingsworth was born in Norfolk, VA on June 12, 1938, and was the daughter of the late Earl Henry Fain and Bessie Mae Congleton Borum. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hargrove Hollingsworth; a son-in-law, Earl Martin; a granddaughter, Elissa; and by a great-grandchild.

   A retired Aircraft Electrician with the Naval Rework Facility in Norfolk, she was a member of Eure Christian Church.

   Surviving are her children, Charlotte Hollingsworth and Karen Martin, both of Gates, Deborah Ann Fowler (husband, Mark) of Grandy, Chuck Hollingsworth (wife, Stella) of Wanchese and Steven Hollingsworth (wife, Lois) of Virginia Beach; nine grandchildren, Cody, Billon, Nathan, Ian, Shawn, Brian, John, Nick, and Robert; and five great-grandchildren.

   A graveside service will be held Monday at 3:00 p.m. in the Eure Christian Church Cemetery and will be conducted by her pastor, The Rev. Wade Bennett. Friends may visit at Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, on Monday beginning at 1:30 p.m., where the family will gather until they process to the grave.
