Georgie Goode Altman

   Georgie Goode Altman, 72, of Hertford, NC, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022 in Sentara Albemarle Medical Center, Elizabeth City.

   Mrs. Altman was born in Portsmouth, VA on September 1, 1949, and was the daughter of the late George Milton and Lulabell Rose Friebert Goode. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, James D. "Jim" Asbury, Sr., and by her sister, Virginia Kay Jeffers.  She was a homemaker.

   Surviving is her husband of 55 years, Gerald M. Altman, Sr.; a daughter, Cassie Asbury of Edenton; two sons, Gerald Altman, Jr. (Carina) of Newport News, VA and Kevin Altman (Sara) of Portsmouth; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

   In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held.
