Frances Bennett Ober

   Frances Bennett Ober, 88, of 6145 Mackey’s Road, Roper, NC, died Thursday, March 31, 2022 in her home.

   Mrs. Ober was born in Chowan County on January 10, 1934. She was preceded in death by her father, Alvin T. Bennett; her mother and step-father, Mary Lewis Arcaro and Johnny Arcaro; by her brother, Terry Bennett; and by her husband, Carl Milton Ober, Sr.

   A homemaker, in earlier years she worked as an office nurse for Dr. Jeon in the Plymouth Medical Practice, and also at Washington County Hospital. She was raised in the fellowship of Edenton Baptist Church.

   Surviving is her daughter, Lisa Bissell of Greenville; two sons, Martin Bissell of Roper and David Ober of Jupiter, FL; and three granddaughters, Stephanie, Carly and Rylee. Also surviving are her step-children, Judy Hughes (Heath) of Edenton and Carl Ober, Jr. of Roper; grandchildren, Kristin, Heather, Vicky and Travis; and great-grandchildren, Carlina, Serena, Jadia, Phillip, Ava, Zayden, Jaylyn, Kylee, Dasia, Jeffrey and Logan.

   A memorial service is being planned and when those arrangements are finalized they will be updated to this obituary.
