Florence A. Grote

   Florence A. Grote, 88, of Edenton, NC, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2022 in ECU Health, Greenville.

   Miss Grote was born in Chicago, IL on March 1, 1934, and was the daughter of the late Arthur and Marie Schorney Grote. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Bogda (husband, Earl "Bud", deceased), an infant brother, two sisters-in-law, Cecelia Morton Grote and Carolyn Thomas Grote, and by a niece, Lori Bogda. A retired executive secretary, she had been employed in the banking industry for many years.

   Surviving is her brother, Arthur Grote of Edenton; 11 nieces and nephews, Earl Bogda, Kyle Bogda, Sandy Halusek, Gary Carroll, Raymond Carroll, Deborah Carroll Klug, Pamela Sanchez, Terry Carroll, Susan Carroll Vera, Anne Carroll, and Sean Carroll; and many other extended family members.
