Faye Miller Ashley

   Faye Miller Ashley, 84, 1646 Virginia Road, Edenton, NC, passed away Thursday, February 3, 2022 in Vidant Inpatient Hospice, Greenville.

   Mrs. Ashley was born in Perquimans County on August 8, 1937, and was the daughter of the late Horace Richard and Gertrude Caddy Miller. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Ashley, and by sisters, Mary Dail and Dorothy Styons.

   A homemaker, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, for many years she was a member of Cape Colony Church of Christ, and more recently attended and enjoyed fellowship in Fountain of Life Church in Edenton.

   Surviving is her daughter, Judy Ashley Overton (husband, Craig) of Edenton; two sons, Ricky E. Ashley (wife, Connie) of Tyner and Todd Ashley (wife, Lea) of Malia-Waianae, HI; two brothers, Norman Miller of Washington and Leavy Miller of Spring Hope; six grandchildren, Amanda Overton, Kimberly Spear, Heather Dail (husband, Greg), Robin Copeland (husband, Matt), Todd M. Ashley (wife, Katelin), and Dakota Ashley; and eight great-grandchildren, Brody, Noah, Ellie, Lilah, Sarah, Bryson, Isabelle, and Hayden.

   A graveside memorial service will be held Sunday at 4:00 p.m. in Cedarwood Cemetery, and will be conducted by Pastor Kyle Harris. With the resurgence of the Covid Virus in the area, no formal visitation is planned; however, friends may visit with the family at the graveside immediately following the service.
