Erwin Eugene Rash, Sr.

   Erwin Eugene Rash, Sr., 89, of Elizabeth City, died Sunday, October 31, 2021 in Sentara Albemarle Medical Center.

   Mr. Rash was born in Westmore, VT on October 4, 1932, and was the son of the late Harold and Mary Lyon Rash. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah Rose Laythe Rash, and by two daughters, Diane Lynn Rash and Erleen Rose Smith.

   A retired auto mechanic, he was an avid gardener and especially loved his rose bushes. He was an Army veteran having served in the Korean War.

   Surviving is his son, David Lyons Rash (Lynda) of Chesapeake, VA; five grandsons, Danny, Jason (Nicki), James (Lindsay), Ryan and Isaiah Rash; and three great-grandchildren, Alyssa, James Jr. and Kessa Rash.

   In accordance with his wishes, no services will be held.
