Emojean Whichard "Jean" Dail

 Emojean Whichard “Jean” Dail, 87, formerly of Hertford, NC, and more recently of Elizabeth City, NC, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2024, in Waterbrooke of Elizabeth City.

 Mrs. Dail was born in Suffolk, VA on June 15, 1937, and was the daughter of the late Charlie Ward Whichard and Leona Bennett Whichard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Carlton Dail, a daughter, Rebecca Turner, and by a granddaughter, Amy Turner.

 Surviving is her daughter, Sharlene Neal; a son, John Dail; a sister, Ruby Hardison; a brother, Charlie “Bud” Whichard; two grandsons, Daniel Turner and R.J. Neal; and a great-grandson.

 In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held.
