Edward Melvin Poff, Sr

Edward Melvin Poff, Sr., 83, of 117 Taylor Lane, Herford, NC, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2024, in Hertford Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.

 Mr. Poff was born in Norfolk, VA on November 17, 1940, and was the son of the late Cecil Mervin and Iris Lee Walsh Poff. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Taylor Poff, a son, David Cooper, and the mother of his children, Margaret Mary Poff.

 Retired from Iron working and later from City of Hertford, he was a Baptist by faith.

 Surviving are his children, Lisa Martin, Margaret Hollar, Edward Poff, Jr. and Nancy C Brauer; numerous grandchildren; and other extended family members.

 A private service will be held.
