Edward Wayne Finney

   Edward Wayne Finney, 79, of 211 Chepanoe Trail, Edenton, NC, died Tuesday, August 17, 2021 in Vidant Medical Center, Greenville.

   Mr. Finney was born in Covington, Virginia on September 1, 1941, and was the son of the late Alvin S. and Mary Margaret Humphries Finney. A retired auto body repair and painting technician, he was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying camping and fishing. A true craftsman, he loved working with his hands.

   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Wood Finney; his daughter, Belinda Finney Stansbury; a sister, Barbara Sowers; his brother, Charles Finney, a grandson; and a great-grandson.

   Surviving is one sister, Diane Finney; a sister-in-law, Jane Bridgette Randozzo; two grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

   A private memorial service is planned for a later date. Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, assisted the family with the arrangements.
