Donald Doner Forget

Donald Doner Forget, 87, of Elizabeth City, NC, peacefully passed away Monday, August 31, 2026, in Elizabeth City, NC.

Donald was born in Worcester, MA on January 18, 1939, and was the son of the late Doner J. Forget and Florence Lavallee Forget.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Forget; two daughters; Joanne Reiter and Karen Reiter; as well as a granddaughter, Trisha Betts.

He is survived by his children, Troy Forget and his wife Stacey, Cheryl Bonnette and her husband Robert, and Denise Caffee; grandchildren, Madison Forget, Morgan Forget, Ryan Dietlin, and Bryan Dietlin; and some great grandchildren.

Donald worked over forty years as a welder for Wright line/APW in Worcester, Massachusetts and for the last several years at the Camden school department as a custodian.

Services for Donald will be held privately by the family.
