Dolly May Rouse Ayers, 59, of Roper, NC, passed away, Thursday, December 4, 2025 at her residence surrounded by family and friends.

Dolly was born in Iowa City, Iowa on November 14, 1966, and was the daughter of Electa Ann Kulhevy Rouse and the late Warren Emory Rouse.

Dolly is preceded in death by her brother, Rocky Rouse.

Dolly is survived by her husband, Edward Ray Ayers; sons Adam Ayers (Taylor), and Edward Ayers (Cheyenne); brothers, Leo Kulhevy (Lori), Kenny Kulhevy (Chris), Randy Rouse, and Rusty Rouse; six grandchildren, Bridgett Ayers, Autumn Ayers, Harper Ayers, Declan Ayers, Emery Ayers, and Gatlin Ayers; and one great-grand daughter who is on they way.

Dolly was all about finding a deal anywhere; thrift stores, bargain shops, and flea markets. Dolly also enjoyed horseback riding, and throwing a party for any occasion; if someone came over to visit a party would be thrown. Dolly loved taking her horses to entertain children's birthday parties; she was a hard worker, she cared about the people she worked for, and loved decorating for the holidays. Dolly was passionate about her family, friends, and work, they were very important to her. Dolly’s family said no one was a stranger to her, she had many friends that she cared deeply about. Dolly was also an avid member of Mt Olive Free Will Baptist Church in Plymouth, NC.
