Debra Rogers Dykes

   Debra Jean Rogers Dykes, 67, of Elizabeth City, NC, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023 in Windsor Health and Rehabilitation Center, Windsor, NC.

   Mrs. Dykes was born in Currituck County on January 7, 1956, and was the daughter of the late Leroy, Sr. and Betty Sawyer Rogers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lon Barry Dykes, Sr., and by her daughter, Jennifer Dykes.

   Surviving are her two sons, Lon Dykes, Jr. (wife, Mary) of Elizabeth City and Christopher Dykes (wife, Jamie) of Hertford; two brothers, David Rogers of Elizabeth City and Leroy Rogers, Jr. of Wall, NJ; three grandchildren, Aubrey, Destiny, and Cody Dykes; and four great-grandchildren, Aaliyah, Abigail, Amiyah, and Adalynn.

   Private services will be held by the family.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her memory may be made to any chapter of the American Cancer Society.
